- I love Reading A-Z books . I use them for shared reading, and then I also use them for word work. I have my firsties look for sight words, word families, interesting words, spelling patterns, and story elements in these books we have already read together. My little sweeties were having a hard time remembering the oral directions I gave them. So, I created these little direction cards. I laminated them so I can write on the cards with a Vis A Vis marker to remind them what to underline or circle in their book. I am loving how much more independent they have become! I also love that I don’t hear, “What color do I use to circle the silent e words?” a hundred times I hope you have a marvelous Monday!!!

What a great idea! We're using multi-sensory grammar this year in our classroom and this would be so very helpful! Thank you!
